Labor Day Links

by Ryan Yates

It’s been a long time since I’ve done any kind of “favorite post” roundup so here are some good ones. Warning: I will be plugging a couple links that involve me as well 🙂

Earlier this year I was contacted by a writer from Dave Ramsey’s crew. She had a some questions for an article she was working on and of course I couldn’t pass up the chance. The article published on the DaveRamsey.com website earlier in August, Put Your Pride Aside When Taking An Extra Job. I’m sure by the title you can figure out what the article is about. I thought I would be quoted once or twice, but was pleasantly surprised when I was the only one mentioned in the article.

This was an interesting article from CouponSherpa. Having a ton of experience in the world of the service industry, these tipping guidelines are great. Just remember, they are only guidelines. Tipping is a completely personal choice and everyone does it their own way. Tips on Tipping for 63 Services

Last week I had the pleasure to do an interview with Justin Lukasavige from CoachRadio.tv. Justin is a Financial Coach turned Business Coach. He runs a great business related podcast and does a ton of coaching and mentoring through his business. As many people know, I’ve been looking at the coaching business for a while and it was great to talk with someone making a living doing it. He did make one suggestion for me, motivational speaking. What do you guys think? Would you guys listen to me? Check out the podcast if you’d like to hear the interview Build a Brand While Delivering Pizza or right-click and download it here.

One more thing — It’s Friday and we have a long weekend. GET OUT AND ENJOY THE LAST WEEKEND OF THE SUMMER!! Have fun and be safe everyone 🙂

Great article at Dave Ramsey. Congrats on being featured at the Big Dog’s Website Himself.
As for the speaking, I say go for it — You’ve already got plenty of people that listen to you (check your youtube hits and blog stats if you dont believe me). You may have to tailor your message to include a bit of motivation, but after paying off 54k+ in debt in 1.33 years, i’m sure you’ve got plenty of stories where your motivation was tested and you were able to prevail.
Good luck!

@Jeff It is pretty cool to be on the Big Dog’s site. Soon enough I’ll be on the Big Dog’s radio show shouting “I’m debt freeeee”. Now that one will be cool. Have a great holiday weekend Jeff
