This is the post that got the ball rolling for DeliverAwayDebt. Brian Scheur from MyNextBuck was asking for Financial Foul Ups(link is under construction) for his new series. I answered the call on Twitter and the rest is history. Brian and J. Money from BudgetAreSexy put the blogging idea in my head. If it wasn’t for these two wonderful Dudes, I’d still only be tweeting about my experiences 140 characters at a time.

Some people don’t know that I started using Twitter before I ever thought about blogging. I wanted to use Twitter to share my funny delivery stories. The first person I followed was @apizzagirl, who even followed me back the same day
She sent me 10 pizza related interview questions; it was my first interview and provides questions that the personal finance world would never ask.

While I was putting the blog together I meet another cool personal finance blogger name Vinny. Vinny ran a blog call Financial Freak Show. He had recently become debt free by working a second job as a hotel valet. He has quit blogging to start his own business.

BudgetAreSexy featured DeliverAwayDebt in a series that was called “New Blog Alert” Series! It was great to be featured on a blog as big as J. Money’s. It provided the most activity this blog has seen to date. I scored a ton of subscribes and friends from it. As much as the article helped me, I’ve yet to anyone else featured in the series. I’m assuming it was a bust for J. Money or readers just weren’t interested in the idea.

Carrie from MakeMineHappen interviewed me for her Spotlight Sunday series. I was working on Sunday and using my smart phone to write in the answers to the questions. It proved to be a little to complicated to deliver pizzas and work online so I became a Spotlight Sunday on Monday instead.

Wojo at FiscalFizzle posted my first guest post. I was really proud of it because it speaks right to the heart of my beliefs about eliminating debt. You need to get off your butt and work the debt away. Thanks Wojo, you’re the man!!

Ryan from PlantingDollars interviewed me. If you don’t know by now Ryan started blogging in Dec of 2010 and has completely crushed it. He has built a huge following quickly but guest posting his butt off. I’m amazed at the hard work he has put into blogging and I’m proud that I know him.

My guest post on FiscalFizzle was the feature article in the Wisebread Best of Personal Finance Roundup. It was a great honor to be featured on such a monster site. Thanks again to FiscalFizzle for allowing it to be noticed.

Aaron from Clarifinacial interviewed me for his Monday Fresh Perspective Interview series. He interviews a different blogger every week and has some of the best questions around. I really enjoyed the interview.
