I feel like I’m in staving college mode all the time, but I don’t mind it. If you look back through my Friday Frugal Tips, you see the ramen noodle post, I eat ramens everyday for lunch and I still love them.

I’m glad you like the header. It just went up this morning, I love it. I’m a funny guy and I think it brings out the fun factor of the site.

Making your own sauce sounds really cool. Maybe if I ever get enough time to do it, I’ll drop you a line. The Hunts is good, but yours sounds soooo much better

I’ll go thru staving college student mode (blast from the past) sometimes, where I’ll eat ramen noodles and eggs for lunch and oatmeal for breafast for a month at a time. I heard that Krogers is pretty nice, I wish we had one close to where we live.

Eggs are cheap and there are a perfect protein source (or so the scientist say…)

That’s awesome. I love rice and noodles too….. Trying to get hold of wholeweat spaghetti here though and it’s proving difficult within a normal budget.

I make my tom sauce from scratch and usually get enough tomatoes for about the equiv of 5 cans of hunts sauce for under $2 (obviously I have to add garlic, sometimes peppers and a few other bits)…. Canned and Tinned sauce is actually pretty expensive here as it tends to be imported from Greece or Italy.
