Net Worth – December 2009

January 2, 2010 · 6 comments

It’s time to update the good old net worth again.  I don’t know about you, but time is just FLYING by.  This is the second update post of my net worth.  I have to say, tracking our net worth is really giving me some excellent motivation to keep crushing it.  This month we paid down almost $3,000 in debt and saw our 401K balance increase by almost $3,000.  We still have a long way to go, but seeing the monthly net worth number going in the right direction is really cool.

Net Worth Snapshot:

Debt Snowball Snapshot:

Emergency Fund: We were able to build the balance back up to $1,000 after we were hit in November with a “Truck” emergency.

401K: It’s nice to see this growing.  We are now contributing 4% and getting a match on that from my employer.  We also have the 401K loan repayments going in here as well.  Of course the rebounding market is helping out alot :-)

Car: Lost a little on the KBB value.

House: This will remain the same until June 2010.

Snowball: We made good progress on the debt this month.  In next two weeks, we’ll have the paid off another debt.  Then we are moving on to the “Big Boy”, our 2nd mortgage.  This one will take a while.

Mortgage: This will of course remain our last debt to be paid.  You will not see a lot of movement on this baby.

We have a ton of work to do here at the DeliverAwayDebt household.  We are going to keep kicking butt and shedding debt.  Is there anything else in life better than paying off all of your money sins?  Let’s raise our Mice and toast to a wonderful 2010.

Good luck everyone!!!

Great to see these figures… I also just noticed the Financial Planning widgets in your sidebar, so am going to go check them out.

Thanks.

@Indian Thoughts,

Thanks again for the comment. While I do think we’re doing good at moving the needle in the right direction–more can always be done.
