Pete,

I don’t think your age will be any problem at all. I’m older than you and don’t have any problems. There are people where I work that are older than me. It’s not an age thing, as much as attitude. Be friendly and a go-getter and you’ll have no problem.

With that said, the store I work at watches your hours you work very carefully. If they don’t need you, they’ll send you home if it’s not busy. I’ve made about half of what Dave Ramsey says you’ll make. And a lot of that goes for gas.

I’ve been delivering pizza for a year now. I’ve not had that happen to me yet. We have the customer’s phone number, so you can always call the customer to try and get in touch. Friday nights are the busiest nights where I work.

On Friday/Saturday nights, especially late night, how often do you get orders from people who just never answer the door? Like, they ordered pizza and then fell asleep and/or left home?
