Hi Tim, if gas is included then I will take off $1.00 per hour. I fill up once a week and that gets me to and from job #1 and all my deliveries too.

This is a great breakdown of how much you can make. One question, do you include gas expense on the calculation? Even if you used a tank of gas each weekend, you could still do very well.

Wow, this is very cool to see in action - I am impressed with what you are making of this - and you are enjoying it. I LOVE seeing people share their income on things they enjoy. I'm in the process of a little side income experimenting at the moment myself. Thanks for this info!

Joolie, of course the right answer is your claim your cash income, whether you are a Christian or not. If you don't already have a large amount taken from your taxes like Jeffrey, a good rule of thumb is to save back 30% of your cash income to put toward your tax liability. For example, if you make $100, put $30 into savings to hold for your tax liability. Hopefully you will be able to take enough business deductions to lower your tax liability, but saving back 30% is a good estimate and you'll have enough to pay your taxes if you end up owing.

Yep, anytime the I-R-S wants they can double check here on the site. Having is public doesn't leave you with much choice. There are some things to think about though. Do you pay a bunch of taxes with your job? I pay a TON in my 1st job and any overtime is taxed to high heaven. If you prepare your own taxes you can run the numbers and see what is will really do to your taxes liability. I really isn't that much difference, so I you need to sleep at night just pay the tax :-)

I'm curious, since you are so public about your earning, do you claim all this as income on your taxes? I'm struggling with what a good Christian should do about cash income.
